The first book I’ll be covering will be "The Four Pillars of Investing" written by William Bernstein. This is one of the cornerstone books for a novice investor. William Bernstein is a retired neurologist turned financial theorist. The book focuses on Bernstein belief that in order to be successful at investing you need to build upon four pillars:

- The theory of investing
- The history of investing
- The psychology of investing
- The business of investing

The first post will be in two weeks and every week after that for 5 weeks.

Over the past 2 years I have read several Personal Finance and Investment books. When I think back I recall very little of the wonderful knowledge I had read. I remember plenty broad themes but have forgotten a lot of the specifics. My goal will be to extract these nuggets of wisdom and display them in a condense and easily accessible format.

Next week I’ll announce the first book. I’ll break it up into logical sections and post once a week over the course of a month. This way I’ll better retain this information allowing me to make better Personal finance and investing decisions. I hope people will join in and make this a useful resource for everyone.
