I’ve been gone for quite a while. I had to take a break while I studied for a certification that I wanted to complete. Needless to say I passed my CISSP and now I’m refreshed and ready to start posting again. See everyone next week.

The deed is done. I’ve gone from being a single to being a set. The wedding was a blast and everyone had a good time.   I can honestly say that it was worth every dime.

After the wedding we had Sunday off and headed to Hawaii for the honeymoon.  The honeymoon cost us a pretty penny but I definitely came back refreshed and motivated. I’m really eager to start posting again.

I’ll have a few wrap up posts on the wedding and honeymoon then back to getting all my finances in order.   I still have a lot of questions that I need to sort out and I hope everyone will join me along the way.

Unfortunately wedding plans have gotten in the way of writting articles for the blog. I’ve decided to take an official hiatus until after the honeymoon. I really wanted to continue to write but alas it will have to wait. Looking for regular posting to start at the beginning of August. I will try and keep everyone updated though with some quick updates. See you all soon.

Well it’s been a few weeks and I think I finally have the design I want. Its simple and clutter free. I like the dark to light contrast. I’ve tabbed most of my side bar widgets. I added some life to the subscribe section so if you aren’t already a subscriber then why don’t you head on over and get those daily updates. I’m really interested in getting some feed back. Let me know if anything looks out of whack in your browser. Do you like the colour scheme? Should I get a banner designed or just leave the simple text? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I know I haven’t been posting lately and I’m sorry. I hope to be back and running next week with some posts. I’ve gotten a bit side track with the theme for the site. I’ve implemented a new theme and have been busy alerting the css to get a look I like. I’m finally getting close to being done. I just need to get a new logo done and some final tweaking. Just out of curiosity what do people think of this theme?

I’m sick. Really sick. Thats why I put up the Dilbert post yesterday. I have about 15 posts in the pipe but none of them remotely ready. The question is:

Should I try to post something sub par or just put up a sick sign and give myself some time to recover?

My first post to the Carnival of Personal Finance didn’t make the grade with Big Cajun Man over at Canadian Personal Finance Blog. I was fine with that because that lets me see where my articles stand and I need to work harder towards improving.

I submitted “11 Money Saving Renovation Tips” to this weeks Carnival hosted at Broke Grad and got a mention. I didn’t make the Editor’s Picks but once again I’m fine with that.

Just out of curiosity I wonder what are Canadian Bloggers perspective on submitting Canadian focused content (like articles about RRSPs) to these carnivals?
